#37: MR. HYDE

Mr. Hyde is us.  We are Mr. Hyde.  Fact is, Mr. Hyde is the ultimate party animal (next to Teen Wolf).  Some people when they drink too much, puke, wear a lampshade on their head, and grab a 56 year old lady's breast, but when Dr. Jekyll drinks, he turns in to Mr. Hyde!

Yep, the Robert Louis Stevenson classic made into numerous films (including the groundbreakingly exciting MARY REILLEY starring Julia Roberts) was all about a man's struggle with booze.  Too much Tequila and BAMMMM-O, he goes wacko! 

Seriously, though DR. JEKYLL and MR. HYDE is one of the earlier horror films ever made, with versions going all the way back to a 1908 silent film.  You can see the entire 11 minute 1912 version below.

There's even been some comedy versions of the movie like JECKYLL and HYDE TOGETHER AGAIN and DR. JECKYLL and MS. HYDE.

I highly recommend this great paperback collection of Bizarro stories from Amazon, at $3 off the cover price for $11.95 .  I bought it a year ago and have read it several times already, it's great laugh out loud comedy that hasn't been in comic books for decades.  And the Jaime "Love and Rockets" Hernandez cover is an added treat!
