#79: CLAYFACE
Clayface rocks. Sort of a cross between THE BLOB and THE THING. I can't explain why I like him so much, but he's definitely one of the neater monsters ever designed. Here's an interview I did with him back in 1985 that I managed to dig up. ROBERT: Hey Clayface, did you watch MIAMI VICE last night? CLAYFACE: Huh? ROBERT: You know, MIAMI VICE, that cop show about cops in MIAMI? CLAYFACE: I don't watch TV. ROBERT: Hey, did you get Duran Duran's latest album? CLAYFACE: UNION OF THE SNAKE? No way, that sucks. ROBERT: So why are you such a cool monster? CLAYFACE: I just am...this interview is over. ROBERT: Okay...thanks Clayface! I love you! MONSTER FACTS There have been 6 different Clayfaces in Batman comics since he first appeared in 1940. Actor Ron Perlman, from TV's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST supplied the voice of Clayface in BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES.
