Mattel Shootin' Shell Gun

WOW! I totally love this old cap gun commercial. The ominous music and slow and deliberate loading of the gun make it look like an assassin is about to strike. And WOW...it even shoots projectile tips out, how crazy, unsafe, and COOL is that?

I was actually pretty happy to find a triple pack of good old fashioned red paper cap rolls at the neighborhood mini-mart's toy rack today. I used to spend lots of time just busting them with a rock on the sidewalk back in the day. I'll get some video of that to share soon!

God I loved those guns! I have no idea how many of those I went through way back then (the plastic hand grips had a bad habit of breaking) Wish I still had a few.

Ahh...memories. I used to have one of these, when I was a kid. All I remember is either A) I dropped it into the brook when I was crossing the stepping stones or B) my 2 older brothers threw it into the brook. Either way, I remember seeing it sink and never finding it again. :(

It was probably 'B'. :)

Holy smoke I so remember spending a lot of time busting those red paper caps with a rock. Some of them were so loud your ears would ring. You have a GREAT memory!

I had one similar to that one, a "Dick Tracy Snub-nosed .38", used the same type of cartridges. My mom took it away when I emptied it at a visiting neighbor kid that irritated me.

YOUR FEED IS NOT WORKING. Feeds are pretty damn useful for blogs that only updated twice a year...
