MUSIC COSTUMES When I was in 7th grade, I wanted to be Ace Frehley from KISS for Halloween, but I wasn't lucky enough to get the costume pictured below. My mom made me one from scratch. She got the makeup somewhat close, but I ended up wearing a short Beatles length wig, a polyester shirt with gems of the world pictured on it, and a big cape with a misspelled "Ace Freley" on the back. My "guitar" was made out of a piece of cardboard, which became all limp and floppy after a couple of hours at school. I didn't get my ass kicked, but I probably deserved to.
