From the day primitive man scrawled cavegirls on stone tablets, to modern day magazines like MAXIM, the pinup tradition has been around since the dawn of man.  In the 50s and 60s there were a ton of great men's magazines which improved their sales by featuring buxom scantily clad babes on their covers.  I hope you enjoy this look back at some of the remarkable girls of yesteryear.  I really like how powerful and sensual most of these women look.  They're definitely in total control with the looks in their eyes, and don't seem submissive in the least.

FUN FACT:  The girl on the first cover in the top row is Marilyn Monroe, and the woman directly to her right used to be famous 70s singer, Leo Sayer.
