Chuck D from Public Enemy was there to promote a
PE comic book. I really haven't read it too much yet, but it was sure great to
meet one of my all time greatest idols. He was one of the friendliest
celebrities I've ever met, and showed a warm and genuine interest with every
single person he talked to. I asked him to personalize his autograph with "Don't
Worry, Be Happy", then he smacked me.
PHOTOGRAPHY TIP #45: Don't be in the foreground of a picture next to
someone unless you want to look even bigger and fatter than you already are!

Good ol' David Prowse from A Clockwork Orange,
and of course...Darth Vader! I asked him to say, "Luke, I Am Your Father" to me,
but he doesn't sound anything like he does in the movies.

Here's the lovely, and way too tiny Dita Von
Tesse. She looks so voluptuous in her photos, but she's one tiny chick in
person. She was very nice to talk to, and not quite as intimidating as I heard
she could be.

It was hotter than shit in the autograph area.
With the near 100 degree temperature and more windows than you could count, the
entire place was a fucking oven. I felt very sorry for Cassandra Peterson who
had to suffer in the heat with this getup on. Her haunted hills still look
fantastic.

This is either the actor who played Jango Fett,
or thug #4 from Deathwish 3: The Crackdown.

The folks at the convention stupidly let Jennifer
Love Hewitt appear in a floor booth, causing a crazy sized mob that made it
impossible to look at about 6 different booths while dorky photographers tried
to get a glimpse of her scalp while she talked to TV reporters.

Nicole Ritchie made a surprise appearance at the
convention, and she's looking better than ever.

I asked Q if he could make half of the slow
walking zombies in the overpacked convention center disappear, but he just
looked at me and sang the theme song to "The Facts of Life".

Daily Show Comic Con specialist Rob Corddry was
there to promote his film Blackballed. Special thanks to Michael J. Fox
for taking this picture for me.

Another fave of mine! Sid Haig was great and even
did his Captain Spaulding character while he signed a picture for me. A truly
great guy. I saw him standing in the line to buy something at the cafeteria, and
he was talking to folks with a very humble demeanor. What a guy. Plus, I
think he may be my father.
