There's nothing new to listen to in Bullet For My Valentine's latest CD "Scream Aim Fire". The whole thing sounds like an uninspired mix of Metallica and Dragonforce soundbites thrown into a chipper shredder. The whole record suffers from that play really fast to hide the fact that there's no actual tune syndrome. In fact, the first two tracks are so identical, you can barely tell where they end and start. Frontman Matt Tuck goes from sounding like a whiny jerk to Cookie Monster. If you're looking for a soundtrack to shoot up your schoolmates with, maybe this could put in you in the right mood, but otherwise it's a giant pile of suck that even the the misanthropic Hot Topic crowd would be hard pressed to enjoy.

SAVING SARAH CAIN

Michael Landon Jr's Saving Sarah Cain is an adaptation of the well received book that's a great family movie that's not all dumbed down like your typical Hallmark flick fare. We'll have a full review up here shortly, but just wanted to give you a quick heads up that it's worth a rent if you're looking for something good to watch this weekend. You're certainly not going to find much worthwhile in the theaters this weekend, otherwise.  You can GET IT HERE at Amazon.

Duets, by nature, are a corny type of song. Sure, there's a handful that we recognize here that are also some of best tunes ever recorded, but there's something inherently cheesy and fun about duets that make them a fun guilty pleasure for millions to enjoy. We've put together a list that spans decades and styles that I hope you'll enjoy, with YouTube videos for each.

THE RETROCRUSH INTERVIEW ARCHIVE IS UP

We've done so many great interviews in the last 7 years that it was silly to just keep them scattered through our archive section. So we put up an all new interview only section of the site where we've divided our famous and infamous folks into categories and put a picture next to each name so you can finally say, "Oh yeahh....THAT GUY!" We're really proud of our rich history of the best collection of retro and current celebrity profiles.

POP CULTURE CLOWNS

Clowns are a great part of pop culture history. And people's reactions to them are pretty extreme. Either you're scared of them, or you're afraid of them. No matter what side you're on, we hope you enjoy this thrilling collection of the greatest painted faces to ever grace the big top, courtesy of Bradley Mason Hamlin.

Yep, it's that most wonderful time of the year where we bitch about the most annoying things of the previous 12 months. A proud tradition dating back to 2000, retroCRUSH continues to work hard complaining about the world and doing nothing about it.

ALPHA-BITS GONE? I went to pick up some Alpha-Bits for an art photo project at the grocery store tonight, and the guy in the cereal section at Save-Mart said they've been discontinued for about a year now. I did some checking, and at least according to Wikipedia, they've indeed been removed since 2006. No wonder American kids are so stupid.

THE ALISON ARNGRIM INTERVIEW

Imagine my surprise reading Mr. Blackwell's Top 10 Worst Dressed list for 2008 and finding my favorite retro celebrity Alison Arngrim coming in at #10. Sure, she lobbied him personally for years to get the award but hats of to Alison for pulling it off. She's all over the news again, and more people than ever are coming to read our interview with her to read about her. My interview with Alison remains my greatest experience on the site, and I got to sit down face to face with Al Gore a couple years back. Anyway, if you haven't read the interview yet, now is your chance.
