From
the first time I saw STAR WARS, I thought
Carrie Fisher was pretty. Sure, getting beyond her snail
shell hair-do was a bit tough at first, but that mixture of feisty wholesomeness
she brought to the character of Princess Leia was incredible. Though she
didn't have much to work with in EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, her famous metal bikini
getup as Jabba's slave in RETURN OF THE JEDI more than made up for it.
Carrie's had quite a career of gun toting characters besides those directed by
Lucas, featured prominently as a kill-crazy ex girlfriend of Jake in "The Blues
Brothers", and the 44 Magnum wielding maniac in the direct to video classic,
"Muppet Holocaust: Die, Kermit, Die!" Carrie was married to Paul Simon for
a brief period in 1983, but his incessant demands to make her quote lines from
"Under The Rainbow" during sex were too emotionally stressful to bear.
Carrie spends her free time writing jokes for Charles Nelson Reilley to use in a
revamped version of The Match Game. Also, she's so onery, she once shot a
man just for snoring.
