JANET JACKSON Just like her brother, Michael, Janet Jackson grew up in the spotlight and never left. But unlike her brother, she has managed to stay relatively freak free. As a child, and later teen actress, she became famous by appearing on shows like Good Times, Diff'rent Strokes (never understood why they had to omit the "e" in that title), and for a brief time on Fame. When she released "Control" in 1986 she's had a string of successful and critically praised albums that have eclipsed her brother's, and has stayed surprisingly flop-free ever since. Though I wasn't a big fan of her look in the 80s, once she started showing off that amazing tummy of hers, I've been hooked for life.
