One is empty, one contains muddy water or plain dirt, and the third is empty. A person is blindfolded and has to stick their hand into a bowl. If they get the clean water, it means their love will be a pure and virginal one. If it's muddy, the person they choose will have a ... soiled past, as it were. If they reach into the empty bowl, it will be a spinsters life for them. The lines are, I also believe, not meant to indicate shouting, but glowing from within, in regard to the pumpkin head. Pumpkin man obviously pissed in it. The blindfolded woman must determine which one is pumpkin piss, either by smell, touch, or taste. If she succeeds, she gets to have relations with any of the adults she chooses. If she fails, the adults will discipline her with the rod the man is holding.
