#99 RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (1985)
THE TAR MAN IS HUNGRY FOR BRAINS!

While George Romero's "Living Dead" series was based on pure horror, Return of The Living Dead had a decidedly more fun tone throughout.  But it wasn't without it's share of horrifying moments.  In this scene, a zombie nicknamed The Tar Man (he's spent years inside of a sealed barrel), is waiting in the basement as he screams for tasty brains.  As you can see from the pictures above, the poor sap's head becomes a Hometown Buffet o' Brains for the ghoul. The zombie himself is a remarkable makeup achievement, as a very tall super skinny mime (Allan Trautman) was hired to play the creature. The result is a zombie that moves in such an unearthly fashion, your skin can't help but crawl watching him.

#100 Allan Trautman as The Tar-Man
in Return of the Living Dead

The Tar-Man from the 1985 zombie comedy classic, Return of the Living Dead, is easily one of the most eerie undead creations to ever appear on screen.  As he screams for brains, this tall skinny freakazoid looks like some crazy robotic creation.  But it's the incredibly skilled physical acting of Allan Trautman that brings this head-chomping dude to life.  Allan has a pretty versatile career, appearing in many shows and film, as well as doing a lot of puppeteer work in films like Babe, Cats and Dogs, and even several Muppet productions.  You can visit Allan's website HERE and see some cool behind the scenes photos as Tar-Man, as well (and pick up an autographed photo, while you're there).
